Eyes

Lash Lift & Tint

Lash lift contains a 3-step process that perms, neutralizes, and conditions the lashes. The lift lasts for 6-8 weeks and curls the lashes, so an eyelash curler isn’t needed. Eye lash or eye brow tint comes in 3 different colors including, brown, natural black, and blue black. It visibly lengthens, darkens, and thickens the appearance of the lashes and brows without smudging, clotting, or rubbing. The tint lasts about 3-4 weeks.

CLASSIC & HYBRID LASH EXTENSIONS

Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent fibers that are attached to your natural eyelashes in order to make your lash fringe look longer, fuller, and darker.  Individual lash extensions are applied to each of your individual natural eyelashes (one extension per natural eyelash) using a semi-permanent glue.  Our aesthetician will evaluate you to determine which curl would best benefit your lashes.  The extensions last 4-6 weeks with a possible touchup in between.

Waxing
Waxing is hair removal from the root. New hair will not grow back in the previously waxed area for 4-6 weeks. Some people may experience regrowth sooner due to different human hair growth cycles. Soft wax is applied with a thin layer and removed with a cloth strip and is used for most skin types. Hard wax is applied thick and removed when the wax has hardened, this wax is typically used for sensitive skin.
Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is a cosmetic procedure in which a chemical agent is applied to the skin in order to exfoliate the top layer of the skin, revealing smoother and younger looking skin. Chemical peels can treat acne, discoloration fine lines, rough texture and sun damage. Downtime depends on the depth of the peel. Lighter peels have little to no downtime while deeper peels may take up to 7 days to heal. We recommend a series of chemical peels for optimal results.

VIPeel

Diamond Glow Facial

The Diamond Glow Facial is a 3-in-1 procedure that gently exfoliates the skin, extracts debris from pores and infuses a high concentration of medical-grade serum into the skin without any discomfort or downtime. The Diamond Glow Facial treats dull skin, discoloration, dry skin, acne and rough texture. The skin will have a radiant glow immediately after the treatment. They can be performed every 2-4 weeks. For best results at least 3-4 treatments are recommended, however there is no limit on the number of treatments a patient can have.

Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a safe and highly effective, physical exfoliation procedure performed by our aesthetician. It requires the use of a sterile, scalpel to gently “shave” the skin’s surface, removing the dull, uppermost layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hairs (aka peach fuzz), leaving your skin feeling smooth and radiant.

Pigment Concerns

There are many skin conditions that present as darkening of the skin (hyperpigmentation).  Some of the more common pigment concerns are freckles (ephelides), solar lentigines (also called “age spots” or “liver spots”), and melasma

Freckles (ephelides) are brown spots on the skin, often seen in young people with fair skin and light-colored hair. They typically get darker in the summer months and lighten during the winter when there is less sun exposure.

In contrast with freckles, solar lentigines are brown spots most often seen on sun-damaged skin of older patients who have experienced chronic sun exposure. Patients are often self-conscious of these brown spots as they most often appear on the face, chest, and back of hands.  Although solar lentigines are benign skin lesions, they represent damage to the skin from UV rays.

Melasma is another form of hyperpigmentation typically on the face or forearms of women.  Melasma is more often seen in women of Asian descent, which points to a genetic predisposition for the condition.  There is also a hormonal component to this condition, as it is more often seen in women taking oral contraceptive pills or hormone therapy and during pregnancy, so called “the mask of pregnancy.”

An uneven skin tone can make a person appear years older than their actual age.  There are many ways to treat conditions of hyperpigmentation including topical antioxidants, sunscreens, sun protective clothing, topical bleaching agents, topical retinoids, Heliocare by mouth, chemical peels like VIPeel, and procedures such as SilkPeel dermalinfusion or laser. Multiple treatment modalities are often required.  Schedule with Dean Derm to have a custom skincare regimen created for you.
